Six months after the title's original release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, a Switch port is now available of South Park: The Fractured But Whole. While Ubisoft's overall footprint on the Switch is still rather small, the excellent cooperation on Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, which ran on Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine, promised that there would be more.

The publisher usually supported their systems, with some minor exclusives and ports where possible. South Park: The Fracture But Whole is out October 17 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.Ubisoft has always had a special relationship with Nintendo. Get ready for South Park: The Fractured But Whole with the all-new #SouthPark episode “Franchise Prequel,” tonight at 10p ET /KWaX3s43PU Players will once again control The New Kid, and now have the option of choosing the gender and the skin colour of the protagonist. The Fractured but Whole follows on from the end of South Park: The Stick of Truth as the kids embark on a new adventure in the town, except this time they’re superheroes. The Franchise Prequel episode stars Mark Zuckerberg, and I’d put money on the creators taking a dig at the Zuck for his recent ill-advised VR tour of the storm-ravaged island of Puerto Rico. South Park, the TV show, is now in its 21st season and, even though some people think the older episodes haven’t aged too well, the show remains very popular. The prequel episode was shown last night in the US, but it’s on tomorrow for us Brits (at 10pm BST on Comedy Central). This promotion is similar to the Game of Thrones Black Friday episode that preceded the release of South Park: The Stick of Truth. The episode is titled Franchise Prequel and sets the scene for The Fractured But Whole. South Park: The Fractured But Whole is getting a prequel TV episode which will be broadcast in advance of the game’s release next week.
